Time sure flies. School starts again on Monday. Where did my vacation go? But, this is finally my last semester. After 3 long years, I've finally made it to the end. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get to home everyday after work and don't have to do homework or study. Hope Brett can handle me being around every night!!

You can eat cake!!
Anyone who knows me knows my love for sweets!! All kinds, I'm not picky, cakes, cookies, candy. For Lent this year I gave up chocolate. Like I do ever year. So on Easter I had to make something with chocolate of course!!! I like to think I'm Betty Crocker, and am always trying to be creative with the things I make. So for Easter I decided to make a chocolate Easter basket cake. I did my best, and I think it came out really well. If nothing else it tasted darn good. So what do you think? Am I the next Ace of Cakes or what!!

Critters
Kelly and I had a little problem digging up our yard for the last few months. If you've lived in Florida for any length of time you'll know what I'm talking about. These critters come out at night and have a field day with your lawn, digging it up for food. I'm talking about an armadillo. These guys are dumb as rocks but that doesn't stop them from giving me fits. Since they come out in the middle of the night; I really don't have the time to wait up for them. And what would I do if I saw one; Judo chop it? So our armadillo is trying to become a Jones by creating a burrow under the hedges against the house. As if - it takes a lot more cool to be a Jones than a smelly armadillo has.
A lot of internet foolery suggests that mothballs or chili powder can get rid of these guys when you put it in their burrow. I found a much more simpler solution; fill it in with concrete. Can't burrow through that can you, CAN YOU?! NO HAHAHA! (Has this armadillo driven me crazy?)
So I went on the internet and found a guy that had the same problem and he had pictures of his armadillo trap. So I go to Lowe's and spend 20$ on wood to build a trap. I'm thinking to myself that this is never going to work; but I build it anyway. I put it out a couple weekends ago and had no luck. This armadillo is still waltzing around digging up my St. Augustine.
But I keep up with it and place the trap behind the house where I know it's digging. Low and behold one Monday morning I go out there and find him trapped! Who's crazy now!!! Better yet I caught him without any bait at all; yes they are dumb as rocks.
So the saga ends with me driving this armadillo in the trap (which he also pooped up a storm in; yes) to the dump to let him out. I leave him on the side of the road like a scene from a music video, with me hoping I never see another armadillo again.
Final score:
Smart Guys (1). Dumb Animals (0)
